The Sagunabai Mukne, also spelt Sagoonaabaee Mookney, was the queen of Jawhar State. She was the widow of Maharaja Martandrao Mukne. She ruled Jawhar from 10/12/1927 to 16/01/1938. Sagunabai was the daughter of the Nagde family of Washale, Maharashtra. She married Martandrao Mukne on 6 March 1916. She gave birth to a son named Yashwantrao Martandrao Mukne. On 10 December 1927, Raja Martandrao Mukne died of a Apoplexy at Kardoho. At this time, his son Yashwant Rao was an infant of ten years. So she took over the administration of Jawhar state.
