  • Gujarat: In Gujarat, the Koli community is the largest caste cluster and Agriculturist caste, playing a significant role in the state's social and political landscape. Kolis are 24% of the total population of Gujarat. Kolis of Gujarat are classified as Other Backward Class by Government of India.
  • Himachal Pradesh: In Himachal Pradesh, Kolis are 10% of the total population of Himachal Pradesh. Kolis of Himachal Pradesh politically and Educationally are good. 
  • Daman and Diu: In the Union Territory of Daman and Diu, the Koli community forms one of the most significant demographic groups, particularly in the Diu district, where they have a historical presence as a dominant seafaring,  Agriculturist community. Kolis are 30% of the total population of Daman and Diu and classified as Other Backward Class by Government of India. In Daman and Diu, Kolis are often called as Koli Patel.
  • Haryana: In Haryana, Kolis are classified as Scheduled Caste and their population is 0.4 percentage of the total population of Haryana which is minority. 
  • Rajasthan: In Rajasthan, Kolis are 0.8% - 1.0% of the total population of Rajasthan and classified as Scheduled Caste by Government of Rajasthan.
  • Delhi: In Delhi, Kolis in Delhi are classified as Scheduled Caste by Government of Delhi and they are only 1.2% of the total population of Delhi. 
  • Punjab: In Punjab, Kolis are classified as Scheduled Caste by Government of Punjab and they are only 0.09% of the total population of Punjab.

  • Telangana: Kolis of Telangana are only 0.2% of the total population of Telangana.
  • Goa: In Goa, Kolis are 1% of the total population of Goa and Kolis are classified as Other Backward Class by Government of Goa and Kolis are also known as Koli Kharvi in Goa.
  • Madhya Pradesh: In Madhya Pradesh, Kolis are 1% of the total population of Madhya Pradesh and classified as Scheduled Caste. 
  • Uttar Pradesh: In Uttar Pradesh, Kolis are known as Kori and classified as Scheduled Caste by Government of Uttar Pradesh and they population is only 1.20% of the total population of Uttar Pradesh. Most of the Kolis are found in Bundelkhand region and Awadh region of Uttar Pradesh.
