The Koli is a caste mostly found in the Indian states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Telangana and Uttrakhand and the Union Territories of Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Jammu and Kashmir. Here are some lessheard information about Koli caste.

- In 1694, Mughal deputy governor of Vadnagar named Muhammad Mubariz Babi Khan attacked at Kolis of Sampra because Kolis was Famous for plundering and piracy but Muhammad Mubariz Babi Khan was defeated and killed by Kolis of Sampra. Muhammad Mubariz Babi Khan's brother named Muhammad Sher Khan Babi became ruler of independent Junagadh state in 1730.
- In 1729, the first Nawab of Radhanpur state Jahan Khan (Khanji Khan) titled as Jawan Marad Khan marched against the Kolis to punish the Kolis of Balor in his state's territory but Nawab Jahan Khan was killed by Kolis of Balor in this fight.
- In 1730, Kolis revolted against Mughals and captured the Bhaskargadh fort and gave it to Peshwa Bajirao I but in 1818 British East India company captured it from Bajirao Peshwa.
- In 1720, The whole of Khandesh passed to the Nizam of Hyderabad state but in 1730 Kolis captured the Trimbak fort in Khandesh from Nizam of Hyderabad.
- The Kolis of Santrampur (Sant State) re-established the ruler of Sant State and defeated the Army of Banswara state in Santrampur. In 1753, Rana Ratansinhji of Sant State was died and Maharawal Prithvi Singh Sisodia tried to capture the Sant State's throne so Prithvi Singh killed the three princes of Sant state and placed his army in Sant and controlled this area but forth prince named Badansinghji was concealed by Kolis of Santrampur (Sant state). After several years Kolis of Santrampur attacked and defeated the army of Maharawal Prithvi Singh Sisodia of Banswara state. After defeating the Maharawal's army, Kolis established the Rana Badansinghji at the throne of Sant state.
- In 1761, Kolis of Balanisor attacked at Peshwa Raghunath Rao's army and defeated the Peshwa and established the Sardar Nawab Mohammed Khan Babi on Balasinor state's throne.
- In 1761, Gamaji Bhangre and Kheroji Pattikar (Blboth are Koli) captured the trimbak fort from Mir Sa'id Muhammad Khan Siddiqi Bayafandi Nizam of Hyderabad state and both Kolis rewarded by grants of money and villages.
- In 1764, Kolis captured Purandar fort from Raghunathrao Peshwa's minister Nilkanth Aba Purandare. Because Kolis was fortkeepers of Purandar fort but Aba Purandare removed Kolis from post and fresh fortkeeprs was established. So Kolis revolted and captured the fort.
- In 1742, Maharaja Damajirao Gaikwad attacked at Bhamsara village of Kolis. There was a war for one month between Kolis and Maharaja Gaekwad. After one month, the Bhamsara village was burnt down by Baroda troops.
- In 1790, a Koli named Kuroji Naik conquered the Purandhar fort and a victory bastion Eerected in the fort.
- In 1794, British Government sent Naval fleet under command of captain West and captain Blair to attack at Surat stronghold of Koli pirates. But captain West was killed by Koli pirate in this attack.
- In 1839, The 150 Kolis attacked at British assistant collector named Mr. Rose of Ghode in Maharashtra. Kolis Attacked The Whole Night but he was secured by British troops.
- In 1824, the British Army under the leadership of Lieutenant Ellis attacked the Kolis of Dudhal village in Kheda district in Gujarat but in this battle the Kolis of Kheda showed their bravery and defeated the British Army, killed Lieutenant Ellis and gave an open challenge to British India.
- In 1858, The Gujarat Koli Corps established by British government in British India. It was part of Bombay Infantry regiments. But in 1861, Koli soldiers of Gujarat Koli Corps revolted against British rule at Kaira (Kheda) and Ahmedabad and British authority disbanded the Gujarat Koli Corps.
- In 1872, Kolis attacked at Junagadh state to install the Hindu Chudasma ruler at the Junagadh seat.
